I have the 909ES deck and its been great. I haven't used it much in these past 5 years or so, but it was well used when I first bought it. The only issue I have with it after 12 years is the balance control is not passing sound. I have to use it in direct mode to get it to record. The sound quality is good for tape with Dolby S.Im planning on adding a second deck- possibly a JVC TD V711.
