Re: Nak 480 problem

Hi, healey1962:

A couple of thoughts....

Since I own a stack of Nak 480's (all are available for purchase in various states of condition at the moment, the problem you reported may be caused by one of three possible factors:

1.) Dried up grease on the cam/arm/door release
2.) Dried up grease on the "hydraulics" which control motion.
3.) If you have somehow removed or taken apart the front panel, it is possible that when you reassembled the unit, things were not quite put in their correct place physically.

Check all of the above and report to us the results.

(You can have also have one of my old 480's for parts for $40.)

They were good decks and sound great if properly maintained!
