Revox G36 Fuse Question

71.247.105.13

Hi all,
I just bought a beautiful Revox G36 that looks like it was never used. I was told it was in working condition and that it was tested right before the sale, however, I recieved it today, plugged it in and turned it on and there was a flash of light on the LED power indicator and then it went dead.

My gut instinct is that the fuse blew, although I don't believe I did anything wrong (the voltage was set to 110v which is correct as I am in the US). Anyway, I'm off to the hardware store to buy a new fuse and wondering if

A) A 1 Volt fuse will be fine even though the manual calls for a 1.2 V fuse

and b) If there's something dumb I'm forgetting to do to make it work (this machine is way before my time)

Any help is greatly appreciated from you more experienced R to R'ers.

Warmly,
David
