I have 2 dual well recorders: one is the Tascam 202mk111, which is a current model in the UK and therefore supported, and the other an Aiwa AD-WX929 which gives excellent results and also has almost every conceivable facility including quick reverse and auto tape set up on both transports; however, this is only obtainable 2nd hand. I agree if you only want dubbing 2 3-head machines will give better quality - I use mine for copying speech tapes 4 at a time.
