Bought my GX-F91 new in Okinawa in1983. Had to choose between this and a NAK Dragon. The Dragon was nice but the Akai fit my budget and I liked the looks and performance of it. Been a flawless unit until recently had to have a speed control chip replaced. Otherwise has always been a great performer. Sounds great and the glass ferrite heads are virtually indestructable. Never have seen much info out there about it and wanted to know if there are any other owners out there and their experiences with their units. Is a great companion piece for my Akai GX-747.
