Help with capacitor value.

Hi: I'm using an amp that has what looks like an Ohmite "Devil" series capacitor (for all I know it could be a resistor). The brown oval shaped --solid rather than hollow -- device states "Ohmite Devil .47 +/-10% 100V. EM." Can someone indicate what this translates to, e.g. .47uF or .47K, so that I can go about upgrading it. Thanks.
