Sony BDP S380....disc will not return to DSD Multi playback.

Hi guys, i purchased the above a couple of months ago and up until today, had never played the single layer of a hybrid SACD. I'm begining to wish i hadn't because ( the disc in question ) will not now recognise the DSD Multi layer of the disc. I have gone to settings and highlighted DSD Multi several times and even switched off at the mains, but this has made no difference. Thankfully, i only tried out one disc. ( my other SACD Multi channel discs are fine when loaded. Any advice would be much appreciated !
