Yeah, I've noticed a few random issues which grab all the db connections. when it happens, I see a few hundred Apache processes that are hung in a wait state. It requires a db restart or apparently, it will solve itself as those processes die eventually. Right now, the load is high, but not a problem. When we have issues, it's usually bots, but I have to catch them at the right time to ban those IPs in Apache.
