I have no idea. Is this still a problem? Normally, something like that might happen if there's an error in the db or the forum indexes, so it might be a specific post that can't take a reply in which case, I could probably fix it if I knew exactly what the url was where you were posting.
Another possibility is that you happened to post when the server had gotten restarted which happens once a month or so.
