Problem starting a thread

Hello,
I am trying to initiate a thread, but my password is not being accepted. When I click to get my password sent to me for verification, it does not arrive in my e-mail box. I then try and re-register (because I know I'm using the correct password), and it says that this e-mail address is already in use. Please help!
