Mike Currie, emptysea56@yahoo and Curriemt11 on Audiogon, is a very emotional, unpredictable and selfish Audiogon seller who distilled our 12 email messages into this one-sided criticism. Please don’t believe him. There is a lot more to the story than he chose to include. He is just disappointed that he didn't sell a cartridge to me. I made him an offer, he told me to wait, and then I cancelled the offer after his delayed acceptance.

My 351 score on Audiogon (since 2001) and 575 score on Ebay (100% feedback also since 2001) means a lot more than his whining about not being able to sell this cartridge. Yes I asked him to sell it to me. Then, amoung our various negotiations, he answered this way to me:

“Sorry about my tone earlier. I had a really bad day in a number of ways. Please accept my apologies. While I might have accepted $1500, I REALLY do not want to sell it to anyone who is not sure he wants it. So, thanks for the offer but I'll pass on it.”

I asked him again to reconsider my $1500 offer. His next email was:

“Hi Warren, I will give it some thought and let you know.”

Finally (apparently after receiving no higher offer) he accepted my $1500. But I said no, it was too late. I explained to him that in the meantime, I bought another cartridge, a Koetsu. And now he complains that people should avoid me? That is either selfish, greedy, very emotional, or just plain weird.

If inmates follow his logic, then we will just have to avoid anyone who has ever had a transaction fall through.
