kind of strange story, but i'm happy with ebay customer service.
i buy a marantz CD player 'like new in ovp' from low feedback buyer, at a price 1/4 of retail - thought i was getting a good deal. first red flag. i pay cash with a bank transfer to a 'netbank' account (more red flags).
the ad and the seller disappear a few days later from ebay...they cancel his account!
uh-oh...so i file a complaint with ebay.
two days later, ebay offers to refund my purchase price, not including shipping, even though i did not pay with paypal!
meanwhile i am communicating with the 'seller' who says he sent the player and the post office must have lost it! bullshit.
a week later, the money is back in my paypal account, from ebay.
why is it SO easy to set up a scam ebay account? seems like they need to take a closer look at the sellers to begin with.
