I just got finished deleting the crapware that surreptitiously installed onto my desktop PC when I launched the installation of ImgBurn v2.5.8 (including "Conduit," TrustWorthy" and "FrostWire").Not only did a bunch of crapware install, but my default homepages in IE, FF, and Chrome were changed to:
http://search.conduit.com/?ctid=CT3309758&SearchSource=48&CUI=UN41725283281368718&UM=2
AFAICT, there was NO crapware opt-out when installing this latest version of ImgBurn (I have updated ImgBurn numerous times in the past on multiple PCs and never had any problems opting out of the crapware).
Frankly, v2.5.7 was doing everything I needed it to do. I will not be updating to v2.5.8 on any other machines.
Also, people are complaining about the secret crapware with this latest version on the ImgBurn forum. The developer responded but he did not even attempt to apologize, including to a complaining member who had donated $50.00 USD to ImgBurn shortly before installing v2.5.8 (see link, below).
