I suspect not, if there was not listing of payment on the auction you have some room to wiggle. I can suggest you pay with I-escrow, and pick up the charges. If this fellow is legit, he/she should have no problem with this.You put the money into a holding accoung and then the money is released when:
A) you have said amp and say OK, it's fine.
B) the seller has recieved his product back and says OK fine I have it. (Money comes back to you sans fee)In all instances the money is held by a 3rd party. Make sure that if you send the item back you send it via a trackable method. Same for when they send it to you. That way there is verification it was send and delivered both ways.
It can't be more simple.
If you seller will not go I-escrow, take the negative hit and keep you money would be my advice. Keep in mind, this advice is worth exactly what you paid for it. :) Good Luck!
