...that I finally wrote to PayPal asking them to confirm whether or not the repeated e-mail I was receiving was from them or not. Just a simple request: is the following an official communication from your service. I received three responses over the next three days. The first two said that they were legitimate. The third said that in fact my account was in good standing and I didn't need to verify the information. The third e-mail came after I asked to have my account closed. Any company that takes that long to figure out which end is up isn't worthy. I've cancelled my account with them and if I now have to wait before my personal check clears with the seller, I don't really care.Joe
