RE: 6SN7 Valves for Mastersound Monoblocks

Hi,

I know this response is kind of late to the party, but the word Mastersound caught my attention so I HAD to respond! You see, I've owned, and have used in my system, a Mastersound Reference 845 since either the end of 1999 or the very beginning of 2000!

Many years passed here where only I would post about Mastersound on AA, but now I see there are quite a few who do and it's about time! Mastersound makes some real fine gear. I see you're looking for 6SN7 tubes. Now before I say a word more know that I know NOTHING about the internals of electronics ok?

You should check out these 6N8S tubes. I'm presently using 4 of them in place of 6SN7 tubes in my DAC and I really like how they sound. Heck for only $5ea. how can you go wrong? If you even hate how they sound, even if your amp uses 4 tubes you're only losing $20, right? So you stand everything to gain and only $20 to lose. Sounds like a no-brainer to me...
