Looking farther afield might get you more info:
For example if your amp is like the one listed on US Audio Mart (linked below) the rectifiers being sold with it are CV378 which appear to be GZ37 equivalents. That they're listed together with the amp is no guarantee that Don Garber designed the circuit using them though. You could try contacting the seller to ask what he knows about them.
You could also try searching out posts of his on the Joe list etc.
