You have asked me whats the overall ability engage me,well they both are the good performer really but any 845 amp engaged me enough to buy so far,845 tube has some good specialities such as boldy and authoritive low ends but it miss the tube harmonic
richness at the mid band and ( I dont mean I like vintage shruppy dark midrange with harmonic richness)and topend is not very extended, I mostly feel a good SS amp sound while
845 amps playing (especially in baroque music or strings) sure this is what I hear and every body have their own reference at this crazy hobby.
