So, if you want something for universal use, get one of those stereo integrated PP amps from Scott, Fisher, HK, etc. I have Scott 222C (7189 tubes, 22 WPC) and Scott 233 (7591 tubes, 30 WPC) that I love very much and can wholeheartedly recommend. They both have enough slam for symphony music with my 85 dB speakers. They also have, like many other vintage integrated amps, stereo-mono switch that allows playing mono through both channels - a useful thing for connecting a keyboard.
