It sure is. The question is can you a/b test the two amps and hear a difference due to 'capacitor distortion' and non audiophile resistors
At the moment im glad because i have a system in the value range and the next expenditure will still bring large benefits!
i have 1970s vintage Philips LE mains + jbl2226+ 350w plate amp,im enjoying the music,i know theres more to be heard and i know that with class A + active xover il hear more...

and either ,hiraga,jlh or similar simple class A.Id like to have minimal NFB,the ESP class A 'hifi' amplifier has alot,from memory.So does the 'blameless' *sigh*

I took the 350Litre 40hz horn plans to 2 joiners today. Two other joiners were far too busy,they said 2month wait! I hope the quote isnt too high,only 4 mitre cuts.
Another project would be a 'fullrange' PE tangband ~4" style,for portable small sound :-) with small amplifier.
eg: tv upgrade
btw did the ESP guy,change his mind about mosfets? he suddenly has a mosfet amp on his project page.
My studies are now getting into PRO sound and matching CD horns to 15" midbass speakers..am wondering what AES/book to buy as facts here are limited.Most of info i have is from Pi site
you mentioned perhaps having english version of 'le monstre' somewhere?
