Yes, the signal is different, audibly different between the cables bein in one direction vs the other. However, since many cables companies do not control wire and cable directionality during manufacture then one can't predict if two cables left and right are identical but they probably are. Thus, one can reverse the direction of left and right cables and should hear a difference. Of course like any test this directionality test is subject to all the usual caveats - depends on system, depends on listener, if there are errors in the system, etc.
I actually answered that question already, at least once. The signal in the cables is different therefore the acoustic waveform generated by the speakers is different. Shall I draw you a picture?
No, wrong wrong I don't have to prove anything. That's the oldest pseudo skeptic argument in the book. If you want to find out the truth you have to do it yourself or hire an independent tester. Your argument fall under the category *logical fallacy.* Directionality is related to sound that's why it doesn't show up in your textbooks or other electrical engineering areas. Even among audiophiles the concept is frequently as fresh as a baby's bottom.
