Andy, please study the problem first. We have tried for 30 years to make a 'perfect' low pass filter. It is almost impossible, by definition. If you just roll off quickly, you get 'ringing' except that each 'ring' is a different frequency. If you phase correct, you get 'preshoot' where some of the signal comes BEFORE the real signal How about that for sonic correctness?
