But I find it highly entertaining at times to see the invective and personalities clashing: it's sort of like watching Jerry Springer's show at times: so stupid, but occasionally entertaining. I never knew there were 'red neck' equivalents in audiophiles. It's gotten to the point where some individuals have boxed themselves so closely in that they can not gracefully extricate themselves.
For the most part, though, I ignore the posts of many of the 'contributors'. Once in while there is a bit of information to be gleaned from the postings, but unfortunately, I fear you are most correct: the cat fights which have dominated this forum have severely degraded it's usefulness.
