How long is the Mississippi? Of couse, many would know that one correct, but not very useful answer to the second question is infinitely long - due to its meandering. And music meanders too. The answer to "What is the loudest passage?" depends very much on the time window. How should we distinguish between the dynamic level of the main course and a transient?
