filtered PC

With the current discussions on power cords going on elsewhere i was wondering if the actual say less than 10Mhz filtering could be achived with just cable geometry (diameter, weave, conductor matrials, insulation properites, etc) ie without any ferite ?
JN whats Maxwell say about this ?
JR and others whats the practical experiances here ?
