So then we should lump your chip in with religious belief, with you as its pope in that we should take it on faith from you that it works?

What the hell, are you in the manufacturing business or not? Panasonic and other companies that make TVs have proven the technology works more or less as advertised. DUH! Besides it would be trivial to do a controlled study to show that a TV actually makes a picture that people can see, so your example is simply ridiculous.

Your chip so far deserves no more recognition than any drug that has not yet been proven for efficacy.

Since you are not selling religion (or are you) then in the real world manufacturers must show that their product at least does something related to its claimed function. In the pharma industry it is called proof of efficacy and a drug won't go to market unless it is shown to be more effective than a placebo (among other things). Once upon a time this was not required and you had all kinds of "drugs" that did nothing or worse did serious harm. The rise of science and the scientific method has helped to reduce this along with regulation forcing "proof".

Since audio hurts no one (at least below 90db) there are no regulations regarding claims made. However, that doesn't excuse you from not providing proof of efficacy. You claim a mechanism but without testing how did you arrive at such a mechanism? Do you have some mathematical theory that predicted this effect? If you did then that would at least provide a basis for a testable hypothesis. If you have no theory and no experimental evidence then where DID that theory come from? Your fantasy? Your arse? Your dog?

Seriously (because this is supposed to be the more serious part of the forum), can you tell us how the mechanism of function was determined without math and without experimental evidence? Nearly all other scientific and technological developments arose from observation FOLLOWED by experimental evidence or mathematical understanding. I will grant you the observation that maybe the chip does something with an audible result. But even the observation remains unproven up until now. Unlike the observation that the sun rises in east and sets in the west. This is a repeatable and consistent observation from the equator at least. The next step is the mechanism: how is it that the sun moves from east to west. This took Copernicus to figure out. Now it is a fact that the earth does revolve around the sun.

So you have an unproven observation, an unproven mechanism for function and no theoretical underpinning for the whole thing. Religion indeed!
