Crown amps have been and still are the workhorse of the pro sound industry. They are great for fixed and portable sound systems. It takes almost an act of "God" for them to fail. What you don't want to use them for is "serious" music playback (unless you use the Reference line"). They are noisey in quiet control room and listening rooms. Just be careful when you buy one (used), put it through it paces before you slap your hard earned cash down. Some of the older ones sometimes need to be "updated". I would contact Crown about that.
