I just bought the deq2496 to see what I can expect from a digital eq
as far as room modes/correction. However I have a question regaring
the digital input and output. My dvd player outputs digital spdif as
RCA which is now feeding my surround processor. I use the analoge outs
of the player to the preamp for music. I know you can set the digout
of DEQ to be the same as digital
input but the question is if it is a passthrough or is it processed in
any way, since if fed the dvd
signal(multi-ch) it might not recognize it.
The second question is what connectors do I need to make a
connectiontion from rca to balanced digital in for the best results.
I am capable of making my own cables so a DIY route is fine.Thank you in advance for any help.
Regards
