I am not normally a participant here, but I have a question regarding a bit of ancient pro gear.
I have a Langevin passive high/low pass filter set made up of the EQ-255A/B rotary filter modules. These look like oversized stepped attenuators, and appear to have a case that is crimped shut.
Unfortunately, they are horribly intermittant, noisy and generally not working right. I have no idea how to open the case to get in for adjustment and cleaning of contacts. I can't imagine Langevin made something that can't be serviced, but I suppose it is possible.Any ideas how to open these darn things? I hate to take a hacksaw to them, but that might be the only way. Hopefully, some of you have experience with this sort of Langevin thing, as their rotary attenuators were built in a similar fashion.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Doug Eisemann
