Help needed: How to connect a Behringer UltraCurve DSP8024

Hello everybody,
I have read positive things about the effects RTA can have on the performance of a home audio rig. I might be able to pick up a Behringer Ultra Curve DSP8024 for a good price. I have no real experience with pro gear, hence my question might be obvious to many, but I am not quite sure if I can connect the Behringer between my pre- and power amp as I use more than one source (i.e. digital and vinyl). Feedback (also on the sound quality of the unit) will be greatly appreciated.
