Your talkin and apple verse an orange

Basically its like trying to plug USB into firewire
Or plugging Ps2 into an apple port
You can get an adaptor to make it fit but it runs on completely
different voltages and pin outs and operation
Look at this chart...
First of all look at the voltage differences to begin with


RS232 reciever input sensitivity is plus or minus 3V
RS485 revciever input sensitivity is plus or minus 200 mili volts
Data rates are miles apart
Max data rate on Rs232 is 20kb/s
Max data rate on Rs485 is 10mb/s - 100kb/s

You see what your trying to do here ?
There isnt anything remotely the same in these two serial connects
There are many more specs I could put out here but you should
be able to see what your trying to do

Its like trying to plug a Ps2 connector with an adaptor into
an Apple serial port or plugging USB with an adaptor into firewire
Not that there is such a thing as these adaptors...
But you can see...it just wont work
