Two good digital units, from reputable brands ... Well, I compared them using high-quality passive loudspeakers, with everything neutral or off (no filter, no equalization, no limiter, etc...)
And they DO sound different ! The dbx has stronger, better defined bass ; the BSS has clearer, more detailed mid-highs.
