Reading the rest of this thread has me pretty confused as I am mostly a beginner at the technical side of amplifiers. Here's my situation.

I have an Ampeg SVT-3 Pro amplifier rated at 450w (4ohm) or 275w (8ohm). I've been using an Ampeg SVT-410CA4 cabinet with it which is a rare 4ohm 600w cabinet. It's been working fine but I always had planned on buying a second 410 and running them both (as kind of a makeshift/easy to get around 8x10). I recently bought a Ampeg SVT-410HE but haven't picked it up yet. This cabinet is rated at 500w with an impedance of 8ohm.

My amplifier has two outputs, and I had planned on just running two cables from them and running each cabinet like that. Is this going to work? Or is it going to be hard on either the amp or the cabinets? Would running two equally ohm'd cabinets fix the problem (ie. I could sell one cabinet and buy one that matches the other one?)

Thanks!
