buying a PA

HI. i put a post on a little while ago, saying that i needed a a PA for a 300capacity venue, and was told to buy a book about sound reinforcement and then come back. i did. and very helpful it was too. now i think i have decided on the following spec:
all Mackie
2 x SRM450 speakers
1 x Mackie 15"sub woofer. sorry. i dont have the model number here!
1 x CFX12 mixing desk
they are going to charge me Â£2000 for this ($3000 approx).
does anyone think that this is
a) a good enough spec for a venue of this size
b) a decent price
