Hi all,
I'm looking for some ultra-cheap ($50 ea.) mics to use as tom mics on a cheesy drum kit. They will also act as triggers into a D4 at the console, mixed with the real drum sound (the drummer can't tune his own drums). I have a 57 for snare and an 81 for HH already. These will be used on a 1 weekend gig and then probably thrown into a flightcase for the next reunion show...whenever that might be. They may come out for some broadcast news use, for spoken words only, not music. Any thoughts on the AKG Emotion series or the cheaper Audix stuff at various mailorder places.
