Re: PA system for home use

i SOLD MY QUAD ESL63,IN FAVOR OF MY MAINLY PRO GEAR SYSTEM
and I am damn glad I did!
ihave a 5 way crossed over system, including 4 [four] Electrovoice DL18MT 70hz down. [subs] and 4 [four] EVM15B Series2 70hz - 80hz [woofers] and 2 [two] EVM12S Series2 80hz - 1000hz [lower mids] and 2 [two] 6" bose [original equipment from my 1995 Corvette with/bosegoldâ„¢system] 1khz - 4khz [upper mids] and 2 [two] 1" dome/integrated 5" aluminium horn [from the original Canadian made 2 way "Sound Dynamics"] 4khz - up [tweeters] the tweeters are still in the "S.D." cabnets, as are all but the subs. [that requires 4 (four) cabnets per side, [quite similar to P.A. stacks] including 2 (two) 15" under a single 12", under a single 6". (tweeter in the 6")] the subs are permanently attic installed [infinite baffle] and 2 [two] 5 way mono 4th order 24db/oct including both ultrasonic and infrasonic filters crossovers [pro-sound]
Powered by 8 [eight] Bryston ST amps [6 mono,2 stereo] NOT BRIDGED! including 4 [four] 7BST, a pair of 3BST, and a pair of PP120. [this results in 4x800rms and 6x120rms i.e. stereo 5way] i now have a virtually undestructable rockin 110db-115db [easily] wereas before I had a low output, extremly fragile, no bass system, yet the quads ARE unreproachable one on one,
THIS 5 WAY SYSTEM SOUNDS GREAT EVEN AFTER THE BEST CONCERTS, AND IT ACTUALLY MAKES PEOPLE DANCE! [equalizer offers no sonic improvement]
