I am currently using an EV DX34A 2 way crossover/parametric equalizer. This is one model old (approx 4 yrs) and uses 20bit processing. I need to add an equalized sub 20-60Hz and have two options-
1. Keep using the EV for the main 2-way system and use just the low output of another CX/Eq unit for the sub (This CX could obviously be fairly low quality)2. Go to a Behringer ultradrive pro DCX2496 3 way crossover/EQ which will do it all for me.
However I am dubious as to whether the Behringer unit will equal the sound poerformance of my EV unit which originally cost more than 3 times as much.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW A MID PRICE BEHRINGER UNIT WILL COMPARE WITH PREMIUM PRODUCTS FROM A FEW YEARS BACK?Also does anyone have accolades/warnings about this specific Behringer unit?
(This is for home audio use but I figured this is the board that would know)
