I really appreciate the comparison of the machines and will consider the stand-alone CD burner for my record transfers - got a question - many of the Wurlitzer organ CD's I own were recorded with DAT I find most of these 'bright' and offensive sounding with some 'spittle' - is this an artifact of going from DAT to CD or perhaps the microphones involved have this 'sound'? I know nothing is 'perfect' and that I didn't really care for my SM-81 mics - kinda liked the Beyer ribbons more til I dropped both!
