You still leave a lot of questions unanswered. Ultimate what? Efficiency? Bass extension? Im sure everybody has different needs. If you want high efficiency, you will get about 25Hz f3 in 13 ft3 using a P.Audio 18, at about 100db/watt. If you want bass extension, you can probably get an f3 in the 12-15 hz range, but sacrificing efficiency.
