Re: Best (and cheapest) way to record to computer?

Hi,
Our band has gotten amazing results by recording to a Sony mini-disc using a pair of Audio-Technica at-3035 condensor mics spaced about a foot apart, and about 8-10 feet in front of the band. We run the mics through a Mackie 12 channel mixer, out through the tape outputs, into a md4 Sony Minidisc recorder/player.
I transfer the minidic recording into a HP 533 MHZ. computer using an M audio sound card. Software is Cakewalk.
We have produced several cd's that are every bit as good sounding as commercial products IMHO.
