I get to upgrade my MacIntosh from a 4 year old G-3 with an Audiomedia III card into the newest generation G-4 OS-10. This will be a desktop machine, not a laptop. I'm pretty certain how I'll configure it except for the soundcard. What's hot and what's not? 24/96 would be nice for the future, but 99.9% of what I do will be 16/44.1 or 16/48. Audio software is Peak and Deck and I will be getting the 10x revisions when they are released. Not a Protools fan. Cost isn't a factor. Suggestions and ideas appreciated. Thanks!
