big speakers/little reciever

I've recently gotten a pair of 350 watt digital pro audio speakers. I've got them hooked up to a '70's Kenwood KR-4400 reciever that I imagine puts out about 25 watts per channel. Am I going to hurt my speakers if I keep this arrangement? Will I get better, clearer sound with a bigger amplifier? What should I replace the old KR-4400 with? Thanks!
