I'm going to offend someone I know, but I'm fed up with reading arse kissing posts about RPB. Yeah sure the guy has some good points to make, but so do many others in this forum. The problems you refer too (and I have read many previous postings in this forum) was that a poster, quite legitimately asked RPB to substansiate claims about his work. This he refused (and he had every right to). However most of us don't make claims about our work, and if we do, I think its fair to say we would furnish the details. If you have a question, post it in the forum, and I'm sure that you will get much advice. If its RPB's advice you seek email him, or get his phone number (after all he is a commercial studio owner) and I'm sure he will happily provide his services. If you want to brown nose, do it elsewhere. I have no axe to grind against RPB, but its slightly insulting, to read comments that imply the rest of us professionals who do assist with comments on this board, don't know our job. I am an audio professional in the uk with 22 years in the trade. I specialize in mastering for CD, and have a broad background in both studio and live sound. Many others here, also have similar experience.
