I own two bass amps. To play out and for quick setup, I have an ampeg B2R. I also have a rack case with a triplite tuner power strip, a kern preamp (better than anything in the world- this replaced a demeter DI witha manley preamp- IMHO of course) and a qsc powerlite amp (any decent power amp will do with the kern as a front end). I have also used the pod pro recently and thought it was very good for such a multifuntional box, that could mate with any amp well too. So I guess thats three to look at.
FrostPS By using a poweramp I split the preamp output of my kern so that the left amp channel powers a 4x10 and the right channel powers a single 18" that way I can use either one or both when I want and adjust the amount of each very easily.
