On an other forum I found this information explaining how to disable the time-out on the K2:

"when you open K2 on the downside you can see the input board. (the board with the XLR and Jack connectors) Almost on the end of this board there are 2 wiring points Z1 (Sign. det. disable). When you connect it together then you have disable the Gate. (sorry my lousy english). You could also change the release time from the gate up to 1 minute when you change a condensator on the board."

No guaranty... It is surely not supported by Crown.

BTW, I just ordered a K2 to drive my stereo subs :-)
