Get a Mac G4, a decent soundcard and Logic audio Platinum.
The rest is always stuff you can get as you go along.
A soundcard like Audiowerk 2 is a great card for 250
but if you´re gonna do it all the way, get Digidesign Digi 001
or Mark of the unicorn(MOTU)2408 for around a grand.
Monitors i almost forgot..i use Spirit´s Absolute zero and i
HIGHLY rekomend them in the lower prize range,about 300 i would guess.Logic is really outstanding.I use Cubase and protools LE as well,but they are nothing compared to Logic.
This is really 4 fundamental elements of a studio,that´s why you
should pay extra care to it.
