Pro tools is free now, full 8 track software.Get it at www.digidesign.com
Get Sound Forge 4.5H www.sonicfoundary.com
Get cooledit Pro.
A Western Digital 20 or more Gig HD, at 7200RPM is the way to go.
You must look into a good sound card with correct I/O...Digital.
Sound blaster live Platnium 5.1 is a good place to start for 16Bit
The Aardvark 24 bit cards are a very good value.
Get a Plextor 12/10/32 Burner.
A Creative Labs 12/10/32 IS made by Plextor. Great value. Comes with Nero.
If you are strapped for cash, and need a good burner , but don't mind 4X4X24...I have a low use Creative (JVC) that we can talk about...
Give me an email...I paid 199.99 for it 5/2000 Will accomadate you , if you need it...for 1/2 or so. Hope this helps.
