Advice on inwall/ceiling work

Pro studio recording equipment and music production/industry.

My brother is remodeling his office. He has a small closet like space for a system which will run his ceiling speakers and also provide music when everyone's gone. We own a bunch of good vintage mid fi type audio gear.
Does anyone have a good site to study re this? Or please direct me to a better site than this. I have recently posted some on audioasylum and its subsites. The construction folks will run wire and cut holes. I am particularly interested in experience with amplifiers, maybe mini system with pre out since there is a size problem and selection of speaker boxes and speakers. I have been reading a bit on partsexpress.com and ecoustics and related links.
