Re: music versus data files with computer?

1. 24/96 files will take up A LOT of space on your computer's hard drive. if you will be going down to 16 bit you might want to consider recording at 24/48 - you will still get a very nice recording and the 24/48 files will take up much less hard drive space.

2. to transfer digital files from your recorder to your computer you need to have a soundcard that has a digital input. ideally a card with an AES would be best as your recorder has an AES output. however if you have a soundcard with an s/pdif (digital coax) input you could prolly buy a converter to go from AES > s/pdif.

3. in order to burn hi-rez audio you will need some type of software. a lot of folks make DAD's (bascially a DVD w/o the video) that can be played back on most DVD players or on a laptop (or a PC.) i think you need to burn at 48 kHz for this, although i might be mistaken.......
