for diy theres HD15 plan - (not sure how passband response would be tweaked unless "throat" gap area is adjusted)
bulk for bulk - are HD15 type good subjective performers for kickdrum punch vs various horn?
and FWIW - how do they measure with regards to distortion within useful passband? - do distortion/spectral measurements generally tell part of the dynamic story?
